Is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and that lines up with the model’s strong appeal as a roomy family hauler. The owner feedback points to a spacious interior, comfort, and a pleasant driving experience, with plenty of room for families and a generous feature set. It also fits well if you want a large three-row SUV with car-like dynamics and practical cargo space. With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, space, and a trouble-free feel that helps it work well as a long-term family vehicle. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger risk is condition-specific wear rather than a broad reliability concern, so a careful pre-purchase check still matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm there are no gaps in maintenance or prior damage. Put the inspection focus on interior condition, electronics, and signs of heavy family use, since those areas matter most in a three-row SUV. A thorough test drive should also confirm that the cabin features work as expected and that the vehicle feels consistent with its mileage and asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without waiting forever for the perfect listing.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,329 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,810, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $29,810 sits slightly below last year's $33,073.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale may depend more on how well you preserve the vehicle’s condition and history. A well-kept example should be easier to move later because shoppers still respond to the Traverse’s space, comfort, and family-friendly layout. If prices stabilize, today’s lower entry point could help reduce your depreciation exposure compared with buying when values were higher.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,737, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,810 average.
• It offers straightforward three-row practicality with easy-to-use tech.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,236, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,810 average.
• It brings a bigger cabin and more standard driver aids.

The bottom line:

The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of value, satisfaction, and available inventory. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better price-first alternative. If you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the upgrade path to consider.
