Used 2023 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearDenver, CO

How much does the 2023 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 1.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,876 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Gladiator earns a 4.82/5 user rating, and our experts give it a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, off-road capability, and the way it blends ruggedness with technology. The open-air setup and truck utility also come through as recurring strengths. On the trade-off side, our test drive notes a noisy cabin and a high price, and the interior space can feel smaller than expected for some buyers.

If you want a midsize truck that feels more adventurous than conventional and can handle both trail use and everyday driving, the Gladiator fits that brief well. Good and great deals account for 34.2% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.82/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with many drivers describing a satisfying ownership experience over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Gladiator’s rugged setup and capability are part of its appeal, which can matter if you want a vehicle you can count on for mixed-use driving. Jeep’s optional connected services also add some ownership convenience through emergency calling, collision notification, and driver alerts.

If you buy used, the main long-term risk is that the Gladiator’s specialized hardware and rugged character can come with more compromises than a conventional midsize truck.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a proper inspection. Pay close attention to cabin condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, especially if the truck was used off-road or equipped with more aggressive hardware. It is also worth confirming which safety and tech packages are installed, since the standard equipment list is limited.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with the basic Sport trim and runs through nine trim levels, with the Freedom Edition, Willys, High Altitude, and Mojave standing out for added equipment. The base trim is the most stripped-down, while higher versions add features such as a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, LED headlights, and more distinctive appearance and capability upgrades.
• Powertrain: You get a standard 285-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic, or an available 260-hp, 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 with 442 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic. The diesel is the efficiency play, while the gas V6 is the standard choice.
• Safety package: The optional Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Jeep does not offer lane-departure warning or lane-keeping assistance.
• Infotainment: A 7-inch touchscreen is standard with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a USB data and charging port, and an eight-speaker stereo. An available 8.4-inch system adds navigation, connected services, Wi-Fi hotspot access, Alexa integration, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The available turbodiesel returns 24 mpg in combined driving, while the gas V6 in the test truck was rated at 19 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 9 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Freedom Edition, Overland, Rubicon, Mojave, High Altitude, and High Altitude with Capability Package.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic version and is best if you want the lowest starting price and plan to build from there.
• Sport S: This is the better starting point for most shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying closer to the lower end of the lineup.
• Willys: This is a strong value choice if you want extra off-road flavor and added standard equipment without jumping to the pricier specialty trims.
• Freedom Edition: This trim adds unique appearance and equipment touches, including a steel front bumper, rock rails, and LED headlights, and it suits buyers who want a more distinctive truck.
• Overland: This is the more comfort-oriented choice for shoppers who want a nicer-feeling Gladiator without going all the way to the specialty off-road models.
• Rubicon: This is the pick if you want serious trail hardware, including the Rock-Trac 4WD system and a locking front differential.
• Mojave: This is the best fit if you want the most desert-focused setup, with Fox shocks, a suspension lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and a locking rear differential.
• High Altitude: This is the upscale choice for buyers who want a more premium-feeling Gladiator.
• High Altitude with Capability Package: This is the most complete High Altitude setup, adding a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, and a front off-road camera system.

For safety-minded shoppers, the optional Safety Group is worth prioritizing, and the Advanced Safety Group builds on it with more driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

The market looks moderate, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,876 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,270, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $34,061 sits slightly below last year's $34,648.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now and may also shape future resale expectations. If you purchase at a favorable price and keep the truck in clean condition, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The Gladiator’s niche appeal can help support demand, especially for shoppers who want its open-air setup and off-road character.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star rating for frontal-impact protection from NHTSA, and the IIHS says its headlights are Marginal at best.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Gladiator comes with a bare minimum of standard safety features, so you should pay close attention to option content on any used example. The available Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, while the Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Jeep does not offer lane-departure warning or lane-keeping assistance.

The main caveat is that crash testing is incomplete and the headlight result is a weak point, so safety-package content matters more than usual when you shop.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends Wrangler character with pickup utility, removable top and doors, and strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,790, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $34,061 average.
• It adds updated infotainment, more comfort features, and new range-topping trims.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better value if you want the Gladiator’s core appeal at a lower average price and with a healthier deal mix. If you are price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter path; if you want the newer tech and added features, the 2024 is worth a look.
