How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cost?

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter a good car?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter stands out because it blends commercial-vehicle utility with an unusually refined, highly configurable character. For you, that means it can work well as a cargo hauler, passenger mover, or custom-build foundation, and its cabin brings modern convenience features like MBUX infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, USB-C ports, 12V DC outlets, 115V AC outlets, and wireless charging.

Its appeal is also tied to flexibility: Mercedes claims up to 1,700 different combinations of body style, body length, cab design, payload rating, load-compartment height, and drivetrain layout. The tradeoff is that the added electronics and driver aids can increase complexity, so this is a van that makes the most sense if you value refinement and configurability as much as utility.

With 30.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter reliable?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has a reputation for strong build quality, safety, and refinement, but its expanded electronics can add complexity. The overview also points to software glitches, sensor issues, and diesel emissions components that can require costly maintenance.

For you as a used buyer, that means long-term ownership risk is more about repair complexity and upkeep costs than basic usefulness, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should also prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the electronics, sensors, and any warning lights or stored fault codes. Because this van can be used hard and configured in many ways, focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the specific setup matches how you plan to use it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 262 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 13.42% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 89.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,029, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter's resale value?

The current average of $49,957 sits slightly above last year's $44,044.

That price movement suggests the market has stayed firm for this model year, which can help support resale value if you buy well and keep the van in strong condition. If demand remains steady, a well-maintained Sprinter with the right configuration should be easier to position competitively later. The key for you is to avoid overpaying now, because resale strength helps most when your purchase price is disciplined.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 13.42% year-over-year.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want the updated third-generation Sprinter formula with strong configurability, modern cabin tech, and a market that still shows healthy demand. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2023 makes the most sense when you want the newer setup and can find a clean example near the lower end of the price range.
