Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 15.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,873 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Traverse’s redesign gives you a taller, wider, longer body with a more rugged look, and it backs that up with more standard driver aids, more third-row space, and a much larger infotainment touchscreen. That makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row family SUV with more presence and a more modern cabin.

The main trade-offs are that it still feels its size, the base LS trim is a little too basic, and the range-topping RS trim is pricey.

35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Traverse is described as having improved in practical ways, including more standard driver aids, more passenger space, and a more modern cabin. Its turbocharged four-cylinder also brings more horsepower and torque than the outgoing V6, which supports the idea that this redesign is a meaningful step forward.

The fuel-saving stop-and-start feature is described as seamless in operation, which is a small but useful sign of refinement in everyday driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright capability and more about making sure you choose a well-kept example that matches your comfort and feature needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a thorough inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the most basic version, while the LT is expected to be the most popular choice and gives you more flexibility, including a second-row bench or dual captain’s chairs. The Z71 adds a more rugged character and is intended for moderate off-roading, while the RS is the priciest and comes loaded with nearly every available feature.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, replacing the previous V6. All-wheel drive is optional on every trim, and the Z71’s dual-clutch AWD system can redirect torque to the rear wheel with the most grip in slippery conditions.
• Safety package: Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, side-exit assist, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is offered on the Traverse, but it is not standard on every trim.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Google-based software. Super Cruise is also available, and the system includes intuitive voice commands.
• Fuel efficiency: Official EPA estimates range from 18 mpg city, 26 highway, 21 combined for the Traverse Limited with FWD down to 17/25/20 for the Limited with AWD.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, but the content makes clear that it is a little too basic. If you want the lowest starting price, it gets you into the redesigned Traverse, but it is not the most compelling choice if you care about features.
• LT: This is the best-value trim. It is expected to be the most popular model, and it gives you a more flexible second row with either a bench or captain’s chairs. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to target.
• Z71: This is the rugged choice, with a more off-road-oriented setup and a dual-clutch AWD system that helps in slippery conditions. It suits you if you want the Traverse’s family-hauler space with a tougher personality.
• RS: This is the top-end trim and comes loaded with nearly every available feature, but it is also the priciest. It makes sense if you want the most equipment and are willing to pay for it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,873 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.93% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,236, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $38,236 sits slightly below last year's $45,479.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, side-exit assist, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is also offered, adding hands-free driving capability on mapped roads.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more rugged look, more standard driver aids, and a much larger infotainment touchscreen.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $40,365, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $38,236 average.
• The base LS disappears, and the upscale High Country trim is new.

The bottom line: If you want the better buy right now, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and a well-received redesign. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is still the easier recommendation; if you want the latest trim lineup and don’t mind paying more, the 2025 is worth a look.
