What’s New for the 2024 Lexus ES
Lexus didn’t make many changes for the 2024 ES, with the sole update being wider availability of the Technology package.
Design
Though the ES shares some of its underpinnings with the Toyota Camry, Lexus did enough with the car’s styling to differentiate it from its more mainstream counterpart. It sports the brand’s signature “spindle” grille and sharp headlights with checkmark-shaped LED daytime running lights. Wheel sizes range from 17 to 19 inches, and buyers who go for the “sporty” F Sport configuration get blacked-out wheels and less flashy exterior trim.
Powertrain
The base 2024 ES 250 comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, with AWD. The ES 350 gets a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 302 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque, with front-wheel drive (FWD). Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While neither is particularly thrilling to drive, the larger V6 provides better acceleration and responsiveness, despite the added weight of two extra cylinders.
Lexus focused heavily on comfort over performance for the ES, and it shows in the car’s leisurely suspension tuning. The ride quality is great, but there’s enough control to keep the car tidy in the corners. F Sport Handling variants add sharper suspension tuning for a slightly more thrilling driving experience.

Interior
As is the case with most luxury automakers these days, Lexus equips the ES with synthetic leather as standard. More expensive configurations add semi-aniline or quilted leather, depending on the trim. Heated front seats, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and more are available.
Technology
Lexus equips an 8-inch touchscreen and 7-inch digital gauge cluster, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, and more. More expensive configurations get a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, a Mark Levinson sound system, navigation, wireless phone charging, and voice-recognition features.
