Used 2023 Ford F-150 for Sale nearPhoenix, AZ

How much does the 2023 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 4.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,500 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy range of trucks to compare.

Is the 2023 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford F-150 earns a 4.94/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and modern features like the large touchscreen and advanced safety tech. They also point to its strong capability and broad appeal across different kinds of truck buyers. On the other hand, some owners feel the pricing is a bit high and that the luxury features may be more than you need.

That lines up with the truck’s use-case: you’re getting a full-size pickup that can work hard, stay modern, and still feel easy to live with. The market also shows 31.8% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.94/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck people trust for powerful performance, smooth everyday use, and modern features they can count on. The expert evaluation also describes the truck as structurally solid and notes that the transmission chooses the right gear without delay, which supports the sense that it’s built to handle regular use well.

The cost-effectiveness discussion also reinforces that this is a truck designed to deliver serious capability rather than just flash. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific truck you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been worked harder than its condition suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford F-150?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and inspect the truck carefully, especially if it has towing, hauling, or off-road equipment. Pay close attention to wear on the cabin, the bed, and the suspension, since condition can vary a lot depending on how the truck was used. It’s also smart to verify that the features you want are actually present, because the F-150’s equipment spread is wide.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans regular, Super Cab, and SuperCrew body styles with short, standard, and long beds, and the truck’s configuration range is a major part of its appeal. Base-trim trucks are work-focused, while higher-spec versions add more comfort and convenience, so make sure the feature set matches your needs.
• Powertrain: The truck offers multiple engines, including the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the test truck, which makes 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the truck can be configured with four-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 includes automatic high beams, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, automatic reverse braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-centering assist, evasive steering assist, intersection assist for left turns, and speed-sign recognition. Some of these features are package-dependent rather than universal.
• Infotainment: Sync 4 brings a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air software updates, and FordPass Connect with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The test truck returned 17 mpg in combined driving, while EPA expectations were 19 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2023 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor, Raptor, Raptor R.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the F-150 without paying for extras you may not use.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the kind of everyday tech and comfort that make the truck feel modern without pushing pricing too far.
• Lariat: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for more comfort and convenience.
• King Ranch: This is for buyers who want a more premium, distinctive truck with a richer personality.
• Platinum: Pick this if you want a high-end F-150 with a more luxury-oriented presentation.
• Tremor: This is the better choice if you want a truck with a more off-road-focused setup.
• Raptor: This is the performance-oriented option for buyers who want serious capability and a more aggressive character.
• Raptor R: This is the extreme halo model, aimed at buyers who want the most powerful and most exclusive version of the lineup.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is part of the safety story here, so check carefully which trim or package includes the driver-assistance features you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford F-150?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,500 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,665, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $41,665 sits slightly below last year's $43,614.

That softer pricing suggests the truck has already moved through some of its near-term depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a seller, that means condition, mileage, and equipment will matter a lot when it’s time to list the truck again. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold buyer interest better than rougher trucks with heavy use.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.94/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Ford F-150 safe?

The Ford F-150 earns high marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, coupled with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is the named driver-assistance suite, and it includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, automatic reverse braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-centering assist, evasive steering assist, intersection assist for left turns, and speed-sign recognition.

The system is broad and useful, especially for highway driving and parking. The main caveat is that some of the lane-centering behavior can feel overly assertive in tighter curves, so you’ll want to stay engaged rather than treating it like a hands-off system.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.94/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds the Raptor R and the XLT Heritage Edition, expanding both performance and style choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $45,682, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $41,665 average.
• It adds a multi-functional tailgate and a standard 12-inch touchscreen.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the better value and a wider set of attractive listings right now. If you’re willing to pay more for a few thoughtful updates, the 2024 is the better pick; if price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter buy.
